Counselling - What is it?
There can be times when you just need to talk to somebody, other than those close to you, about what you are feeling and the stresses you are going through.
The role of counselling is seen as a helpful relationship, one in which personal support and respect is given.
In giving you, the Client, the time and space to define and understand the difficulties you are experiencing, you can then develop a greater sense of perspective about yourself along with the problem and find a way of being able to work through options, choices and strategies to reach a more balanced state of mind.
Therefore counselling offers you a way of relaxing the mind enabling you to process the negative emotional state and creating a more positive outlook.
